a_little_oc
I am now the proud owner of 2 purple/ lavender BF HM's. I only meant to buy one. I had 5 salamanders and lavender BF HM's in my watchlist. It took me ages to decide which one I wanted to bid on. This is the one I bought: (Edited to show correct link) http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/clo...tashm1236883721 I found out I have also bought: (Edited to correct link) http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/clo...tashm1236626404 I placed a bid on this one first, and then I received an email saying I had been outbid, so I put a bid on a second one. After winning that one, I found out I had also won the first one. I closed my big pond email account, as it was on trial, and wasn't working properly. So now I can't retreive the email to see what actually happened. I think they are nice, and would like to know what others think of them. a_little_oc
I have edited the links, and they both work now. Thanks from Ann.
Marianne
I don't know much about show standards or any of that stuff, but I think they are quite pretty:) And I think it's more important for them to be pretty and for you to be able to sell the babies than to have perfect show fish. Unless you want to do shows of course:)
a_little_oc
We would like to do shows, but I don't think there are any in Victoria. Pretty comes first with our purchases, but they have to have a nice body shape as well.
Fishchick
Patsayawan breeds nice stock. The Lavender is a very nice fish. Good score.
bubbzy81
That's good to hear coz I'm waiting on one from Patsaywan too. I had my eye on your first lavendar male, but decided to go with this salamander instead: http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/clo...tashm1237315821

a_little_oc
Patsayawan breeds nice stock. The Lavender is a very nice fish. Good score. Thanks Jodie. I would have prefered to only have him and not the purple butterfly as well. Hopefully when they get here he is a nice fish too. At least he is pretty. Chuckie
Pretty comes first with our purchases, but they have to have a nice body shape as well. Yes, you do have to breed for what pleases your eye! I agree that it's important not to dilute the beautiful work breeders like Patsayawan do by indiscriminately breeding what looks pretty without regard to form, even if we don't have shows all around Australia (yet). 2 of my favourite imported bettas are from Patsayawan
