talktokeith Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 Hey kitz did you get the 'accessories stand' from fish street? It's very nice! Want to get one!! Keith
kitstyles Posted March 5, 2009 Author Report Posted March 5, 2009 yes the shop ordered it in for me thou.. waited 2 weeks. just a little update on the tank spec & maintenance Tank Spec Light: 27w filter: 2211 (Eheim Substrat Pro) Co2: 1 bubble/2 sec Temp: 23-25 (sometime 28'c lol) depends on the room tempreture. maintenance for week 1 Ferts: Brighty K, Excel , TBS coditioner. W/C: 50% for now.. the stem plants is growing new leaves but the HC doesn't look too happy...
Ghengis Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 but the HC doesn't look too happy... Could you be burning it with the Excel? Would it be best to allow it to root in a little? I actually have no idea, but I have heard that Excel can be harsh on delicate plants, if they've not settled in properly...
Ghengis Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 Whats wrong with that?? Plants need time to settle into a new environment before being fertilised, just like pe-oples... Ain't gonna edit it, now. Don't want that stupid footnote on my post!!
KillieOrCory Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Great tank I must have been Japanese in previous life, I love the stuff Amano came up with!!! By the way I am assuming the stand that has all your bits and pieces is a ADA stand. Is that correct? I need something like that to keep all my bits and pieces together. I keep loosing things!!!
kitstyles Posted April 17, 2009 Author Report Posted April 17, 2009 Update after trimming... I wanted to trim it like a triangular mound shape because of the different stem plant growth rate, still need sometime to work out how tall should I trim for each of the type to create the shape I want.
Ghengis Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 Let me just be the first to say this... Stunning tank again, Kitz! You really have a handle on this planted tank thing. Really love your work, always a pleasure to view your tanks. Looking forward to more updates :)
njsul Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 Got to love that rock what is the yellow on it algae/moss??? and is that quartz??? (white bits) I like the look of the glass co2 gear left in for photos also. So the plan is to have the rotala peak behind the rock ??? Nice set up :)
Bettarazzi Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 Very nice. The plants looks so stunningly healthy. I reckon higher on the back left would look nice. So the visual triangle is highest at the back left and comes down diagonally to the front right corner.
kitstyles Posted April 17, 2009 Author Report Posted April 17, 2009 njsul: yeah I think its the white bits that turn green haha... I agree with you mike, going to trim the back stem plants like this:
Bettarazzi Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 Exactly what I was thinking!! I even thought that I could draw on your pic but then I thought, meh... he knows what I mean. :D
talktokeith Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 Nice tank kitz! Looking froward to see the background plants forms the shape you want ;)
kitstyles Posted May 6, 2009 Author Report Posted May 6, 2009 This probably gonna be the last update for this layout. enjoy~
Callatya Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 I do rather love this one Kitz. Do you run the tank that full or is that for photos?
