finley
Hi Just wondering who here has had the longest lived Betta... What's the oldest you've had? How long do you find that they usually live? Any special tips or tricks for achieving healthy longevity? Thanks :)
y2jdaze
longest I've kept one was about 3 and a half years so he was probably older than that when he died as he was an LFS fish. On average mine tend to last about a year... but I've had so many water issues I put it down to that rather than anything else, I've had quite a few go from old age around the 18 month mark (also lfs). Canfeleq
I have several that are approaching 3 years old now, mostly females. The longest that I have had a single betta was 3 years 10 months and he would have been older than that as he was an LFS VT and they are usually 6 months or older when you get them. michael
Well atm the oldest betta i have is just over 12 months old. But my bettas are not pets they are just for my hobby (breeding bettas) and selling to the lfs to pay for food tanks etc. But the oldest betta ive had was a female called grandma she fizzed out at 2.5 years old. This was the only fish i named. Except others i named but that was profanity.
