Tara
Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me if Zoo plankton is known by other names, when I looked it up Rotifers came up a few times and then I just rang a lfs and asked for frozen zoo plankton they said they had ocean plankton so I was wondering if it is the same thing. I dont need it just yet as we have only noticed the eggs under the redclaw's tail yesterday. Thanks Tara
Callatya
In terms of frozen food, ocean plankton is bigger than brine shrimp, but smaller than krill (and about the same size as a newly hatched yabby). Rotifers are about the same as baby brine shrimp, maybe a bit bigger.

Canfeleq
Zooplankton refers very small or microscopic animals that drift in the water column. Plankton made up of plants is called phytoplankton. Wikipedia
Callatya
You should be right with baby brine shrimp to start with, and I think that they should take prepared foods like spirulina wafers from a young age as they do seem to spend a lot of time foraging rather than hunting. Tara
I ended up using the golden pearl for a few days then noticed that the babies were just grabbing the scraps from the adults food. We have about twenty baby redclaw that we can see but there could be alot more as they are hiding in the gravel, Java moss and driftwood and I've also seen them on the sponge filter. Thanks for your help. Charlie
