missglamourette
I just got my first betta today. I got one of those infamous Big W 5.7 litre tanks and added a small heater, gravel and a small silk plant. After I put my fish in, i turned the filter back on but the current is too strong...even on the lowest setting. How can I make it more comfortable for my new betta. Thankyou
lpiasente
You can stuff it with filter wool and that should slow the flow down. Just keep an eye on ammonia levels while your tank is cycling
jusdeb
I had the same problem with the Big W panorama tank so I took the perforated tip of the outlet pipe and folded a chux or similar to form a small cup or bag and then attached this to the end of the outlet pipe with a rubber band. Hi I have this VitaPet model....I found the flow of the tank with the 'silencer' to be perfect for bettas, mine loved it and didn't have to struggle at all. My next tank is another matter...too strong.
