Celeste84 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2007 nice boy he has lovely strong rays and no obvious curling, which is a plus. however he has uneven webbing reduction in the dorsal and caudal. the anal has an even 50% reduction which, while it isn't optimal (33%), is still acceptable good strong body with a nice solid colour, the minor irridescence is a small fault if i remember correctly. 7buddies 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 I'm going to sound dumb asking this, but what is curling?
Sara_01 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2008 It's where the "ray" of the fins curls back on itself or gets twisted and looks messy. Ideally bettas should be "straight haired"
belle 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2008 Unfortunatly spike is no longer with us He was killed in the spawning tank, were not sure what happened. Pays to be a sticky beak i think, we were leaving the tank alone for a couple of days because they were going so well at the start of the apwn...
y2jdaze 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2008 i've had that happen too, i've left couples together for weeks without the slightest hint of anything and then one day the male is just shredded to bits... you really do have to keep an eye on them pretty regularly!
