Celeste84
well this was that nice green juvie - he's still green as his dad (damn photo light, always makes the greens look blue >.< ), but boy has he grown! i can't believe how large his fins are now!! he's still only 2/3 grown, but he gives his dad a run for his money fin wise. i guess i really ought to start carding and exercising him ;; up until now he's just been hanging out with all the other juvie males with no carding so they don't get lonely! y2jdaze
ooo he's niiiiiiice question what does carding juvies actually do?
Chuckie
Carding means they only see each other when the cards are removed, so they don't lose interest and stop flaring.
y2jdaze
that's what i thought... so basically flaring is exersise for them, and that will help their tails grow better *thinks*
splendidbetta
Yes, carding/flaring is exercise, it helps their finnage grow stronger with more volume, and increases the overall fitness of the fish. Celeste... he's fantastic! If you don't end up re spawning the copper lace female's parents (but I really hope you do ), this boy would go nice with her... and then you can select out the combtail :P
Celeste84
yeah i'm definitely gonna keep this guy for breeding, he has a name now i only ever name my breeders LOL he's my favourite baby at the moment, i really can't believe how well he's grown! all the juvies have been really nice from the two boys i got off nick, guess it goes to show that good stock breed true :P
Robbies Betta
he really is a stunner I'd suggest breeding him with a Turq/green girl that isn't metallic, as that way you can keep the "traditional" black head colouring :cheer:
