Angie
 Hi, I am Angie for Western Australia, very new to the breed and interested in learning more. I purchased my first betta from a pet shop, feeling sorry for him in that cup. I recently purchased a half moon red pair. I have so much to learn and would appreciate any guidence as the red female is quite abit larger than the male and I woke this morning to find that one of his fins had been badly damaged, I suspect that the female did this during the night and have since removed him to another tank. fightingfishfancier
Hello and Welcome Angie. Red HM sounds beautiful. Were you trying to breed the pair? Otherwise it's advised to keep males on their own or in a community tank with suitable tank mates. There is lots of advice to be found here including some recently posted basics etc. Cheers, Heidi
