Celeste84
the first one is a dark bodied orange dalmation VT, and the second looks like a pastel blue/red multi CT to me

Figure_8
I agree with celeste re the colouring. Orange spot vt's are great btw! I'm looking forward to the time when that colour starts to show up in other tail types :whistling:

I'm looking forward to the time when that colour starts to show up in other tail types <{POST_SNAPBACK}> actually the orange dalmation was originally developed as a line in the HM's after a lot of hard work it then spread to pretty much every long tail type, but is more widely seen in VTs :(
Chuckie
really? I remember when Abbey had aspirations of using an orange spot VT to develop orange spot HMs. Then someone on aqb started selling orange spot HM's. I recall Abbey's response was "damn, dude!"
Celeste84
yup it was line bred by thai breeders for Sarawut Angkunanuwat from random fish who displayed the colouring, he then developed it in the HM form and made sure it would breed true to the genetics before releasing them for sale

Chuckie
so it started as a VT and developed into HM?
Celeste84
yup, random VT mutations were found once in a while, collected and bred into HM's edit: until the HM lines were really developed the VT mutations weren't a line, just an odd occurance, but now they're so well developed it's a line in every long fin type and the genetics are better understood :)
