Jess Posted August 20, 2006 Report Share Posted August 20, 2006 hi, They prefer soft water.. and can die at a drop of a hat. However, lately I have been keeping them and they are hardy little guys! I have peat in my filters and I use RO and a pH of 6.6-6.8 in their tank. Introduce them very slowly... and do water changes frequently. Little is the key so they do not go into pH shock. Berryfriendly Posted August 23, 2006 Report Share Posted August 23, 2006 I have a pair of blue rams which i have had for a few weeks now and they seem to be doing quite well. I have them in a 15L Tank witha heater set to 24%, a filter, lots of java moss and a breeding cave for them (In case they feel the urge) I was told that they like similar conditions to bettas but that they were a little touchy.
