fuzzy_dragonfly Posted July 16, 2005 Author Report Share Posted July 16, 2005 I like alot of creepy crawlies like hermit crabs, praying mantids, cicadas (just like to watch them), silk worms (thanks Abbey , still have some eggs left), huntsman spiders (they're lots of fun). I also go out at night during orb weaver season to do some spider spotting, we have a few red backs too, there's a really big marble sized one living under the garage. Summer nights are the best because we get fruit bats in the mulberry tree and I adore the sound of cicadas chirping, especially the greengrocer ones . One of my favourite times of year is golden orb wever season at bi-centenial park. if you get up really early you can see the beautiful golden webs with yellow kneed spiders proudly sitting in them .
