fuzzy_dragonfly
Is there any possibility you could try an alternative to glue traps. Perhapse more netting or the pigeon/bird spikes as mentioned earlier. Reasons you shouldn't use glue traps: *many animals get injured and distressed from stuggling paticularly with a medium size bird like the Ruak ruak. The trap was originally designed for rodents and small birds. *There is a risk you might unintentionally catch an animal not intended for the trap. *The glue trap makes then an easy target for predators like cats. *You risk poisioning your fish. About glue traps: http://www.idausa.org/facts/gluefacts.html http://www.wildbirdsonline.com/a_gluetraps.htm Petrol is very dangerous for water birds. It damages the natural waterproofing of feathers, stops the bird from flying and is highly toxic. Perhapse more netting or the pigeon/bird spikes as mentioned earlier. The spikes prevent the birds from landing, it doesn't hurt the birds. Eventually they will learn to look elsewhere for food .
