Ciara
 I have a honey gourami and I would like to know what gender he/she is! Does anyone know how to tell the difference between them, so far all i've read is something about a rounded anal fin. My gourami is a light orange, with a turquoise stripe. Any ideas, sorry bout lack of information, perhaps I need to get a photo of him/her. cheers Ciara :D

Phil
Male honey gouramis are usually more intensely coloured than females which are mostly grey in colour.
Figure_8
A pic would be a really good help, but colour is usually a pretty good indication as Phil said.
Jess
I dunno about the colour, I try to look at the anal fin. Much easier though, when you got tank full of them and plenty to choose from!
Ciara
:) Thanks everyone. Next time i'm at my LFS I'll take a look and see if I can notice a difference between my gourami and the others, but from sounds of it I reckon I have a male. He/she seems alot happier out of the community tank and in the 20L still tank. Also I've noticed a few blobs of bubbles on top of the tank. Not as pretty as my Betta's bubblenests, but perhaps I do have a male after all...... unless they're just air bubbles from breathing. ) cheers guys Ciara
