Those kind of things where air flows over wet internals are breeding grounds for legionnaire's, aren't they? Or is that just water towers in office buildings :-)

Like those old fashioned aircon substitutes, where you pour in a few litres of water, which is pumped over a lattice inside the machine, while in blows (now cooled) air through. Can't believe we used to use something like that at our place! Anyway...

Dehumidifiers will make the air drier, good, but will make the water level in the tanks drop faster, bad. Bit of a trade off.

I really like the level of humidity I have in there to be honest. It's never enough to grow mould on anything, but it stops bubble nests bursting etc. And it is the best place of all to be when you have a cold - it's only room I can breathe in sometimes!

Plus it opens the pores, lol. I am a girl, sometimes!
