somchai2500
Depends on how you hatch the BBS. If it is the 1.25l bottle way then. I use a syringe with piece of air tube attached. Have it partly pulled back a 3-4 mm. when I lower the tube I push the syringe all the way down to push out any eggs from the top that get caught. Lower it down close to the bottom and extract into the syringe.Empty syringe and air tube into a container filled with fresh water ( put it on an angle so the eggs fall to the bottom. and leave it for 5-6 minutes the BBS should be free swimming and suck them up with a baster.. Eggs stay on bottom. Easy as. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uNkHPuGaqo Edited November 25, 2011 by somchai2500
kertaz
I use light and they will gather at the spot where the light is. Then I just suck up that part. Not all kinds of light will work though. Seems they're more attracted to incadescent than flourescent, but that's just my experience. Anyway, I did an experiment and tried sucking up both BBS and the empty egg shell and feed them to the fry. The fry wouldn't eat the shell. They'd take those into their mouth only to spit it out a second or two later. Pretty intelligent, I'd say :)
