Nicola
Well since i shall be finally getting my new fish soon, i decided to redo my tank so it was a tad more suitable... I added more rocks, a bubble wall that doesn't put out tooo much force, and some plants ( yeah i know ones non aquatic as it was pointed out to me, oops) Plants include some crypts of some sort, hair grass and Curly ivy Just have to get a background for the outside of the tank that is better than my purple floral curtains... Full view of tank Left side of tank Right side of tank and one of the apple snails, there is one in each side of the divide, Odd little snails they are, seem to like floating down after going to the top of the tank the 2 Betta's i will be getting will be a Gold HM Male, and a Salamander BF HM Male , Will get pics of those on this thread once they are in my possession Edited November 16, 2011 by Nicola
SiameseFightingFist
Nice, is that a 40L divided into two 20L parts?
Nicola
Close, its a 54L(but with all the rocks in there i would say is holding bout 48-50L of water), divided as close to the middle i could get it, cut a slit in the mesh so that the bubble wall was on both sides Edited November 15, 2011 by Nicola
SiameseFightingFist
In that case this is pretty much the same size as the tank in my poop thread. (Please don't quote that sentence out of context.)
Nicola
 i know it doesn't look very big Haha, But It works And hopefully the fish will be happy, even though they have to share with a snail How many fish are in ur tank? Am guessing its a sorority? :P
SiameseFightingFist
Yeah it's a sorority I got from Wild Nut in this thread. Nine bettas and 3 bristlenoses in there. I intended to put them in an 88L tank semi-Walstad style but I found a leak so I'll keep them in the 50L for a while until I fix the 88L.
Nicola
Darn, Hopefully the leak is easy to fix, rather than having to dismantle the tank and re-silicone everything. (Siliconing my divider in made enough of a mess, would not want to do a whole tank, O.O) the 50L is the biggest tank i have had, the small one in the lounge room 28L, is full of goldfish and a sucker fish of some description that likes to launch itself at the fish evil thing. Am hoping to get my fish by the end of the week or early next week :)
SiameseFightingFist
Ness' fix-it thread was helpful on how to fix leaks. I'm half thinking that I might as well silicone all the edges while I'm doing it, even if just a thin strip, just in case. Rather be safe than sorry. Nicola
True dat, better than having a tank imploding everywhere, what.a.mess that would be.
SiameseFightingFist
Probably less of a mess I'd create with the silicone I bet. Ness makes it look so easy.
Nicola
Haha, i thought it would be easy too, but that stuff is THICK! i had to go veerrryyy slowly so it was even and not big blobs in some parts and next to nothing in others Haha.
