Fletch
I have an Aqua one barracks and the pump is really noisy. Any ideas on how to quieten them down or where to get a replacement? If I get an ordinary pump from Bunnings, what size would I need? Thanks for you thoughts.
Pyrefly
Most LFS can order in replacement Aqua One parts since its a big brand. If you try Bunnings, probably best to pry out the powerhead and take it with you to compare if possible. Could also just use a really good clean - Impeller and all. Rhysmachine101
I have actually bought a couple of pumps from bunnings and they all have their head height labeled on them- they are actually pretty powerful so you would only want one that matches the height of the barracks or smaller- I would get the smallest i could get away with. Most likely you will be after the smallest pump they have, at the most the second smallest. Also some filter wool to cushion the pump from any walls or floors of the barracks will work well to alleviate the vibrations making the noise. Good luck!
