If there is a LFS in Brisbane that sells Aussie Aquariums it would be worth asking them about custom barracks, unfortunately AA is based in Melbourne but I have had custom tanks made by them for me before through my LFS for what I consider a fair price and include 2yr warranty. Your order could be shipped with the LFS order which could be cheaper and safer for you especially if there's a few of you that need barracks.... Hope this is helpful.... Good Luck :)

I use and LOVE the Showmaster black glass gravel! The good points: Easy to clean, Doesn't alter PH, Small smooth pebbles (fin friendly), Looks awesome! The bad points: It's very expensive I use it in my display tanks so it shows up the fish and plants beautifully. As we all know when you use a substrate it will 'collect' all the nasties so it does need a thorough cleaning to remove them. I only use a thin layer about a 1/2 inch to aid the cleaning process and I have found this gravel to be the easiest to clean, I have other substrates including sand (extremely high maintenance)in my tanks but I'm fanatical about WC's and tank cleaning.... Hi I have Aphyosemion Australe Killi's which I hope to breed and Panda,Juili,Matae cory's and just recently loss my Adolfoi cory but he was old Hoping to find some red and green lasers but they are pretty hard to come by....

Thanks for the warm welcome Roy and Ness, I already have the date set in my calendar for the meeting it will be my first time so I'm very excited! I was recently gifted a beautiful black male crowntail I had never seen a Betta like him before as I had only ever seen the standard LFS Bettas. I started researching them including buying books and trying to find sites and clubs to join so he is the one responsible for my new venture when I get chance to I will post a picture see what you think? I would love to know more about him...

I'm new to the world of Betta's but have been a very passionate hobbyist for more than 2 years now, I have afew heavily planted tanks with Plecos and corys - my first loves- also killi's, gobies and assorted others. Currently working on a 4ft custom setup for Betta's So hoping to find some great advice,inspiration and contacts for my new venture as I like to support genuine breeders. Interested in Wilds and Splendens so would love to hear what other members have... Also looking at a 5x2x2 set up but umm I just have to work out where to put it.....:P
