No fun! I have all four.. once my braces are out, they have to get pulled.. already have had two pulled as there wasn't enough room. Those had hook roots and were digging into the neighboring teeth. Ah, at least I got to have icecream. :)

  10. Its a easter island head statue but for a fishtank It reminds me of that big type one in the movie "night at the museum" that says "Dum dum bring me gum gum"
  11. Haha Thanks, those are the ones that i had in my lil 25L tank i just moved them over along with the rocks so all the bacteria stayed.. i will eventually get some live plants once everyone is all settled in.
  12. I honestly do not know but i got a 50L tank today, owe mum 20$ though..oops Lol. I moved most of the gravel from the smaller tank into the bigger one, and dosed it with stability, and now the neon tetra's are in there crusing around like fish do.
  13. Decided agaisnt the biOrb Went to pet barn today and looked at the Aqua one tank(turns out its only 38L for 120$), and also the Blue planet classic 50L tank for 150... it doesnt come with a heater but i decided to get that, and a 50W heater to go with it. at the moment my neons are hanging around the heater and filter getting used to so much room
  14. What was used to divide the tank? and how would you do it? I am still tossing up in the air ( not litterally heehe) which tank i want to get and im considering a 45L one, and would like to know how to split it in half with a divider? so that it will heat evenly and filter properly with internal filters :)
  15. (sorry if this is classed as bumping an old thread) But.. Has anyone else tried this? but not with a under gravel filter? like one of those Aqua one hang on the back filters? or a internal filter? that doesn't go under the gravel? or could someone explain how it would work as i am one of those people, that have trouble understanding written directions and learn by example...
  16. Right at this very moment? Not so much, maybe in the future when i have money saved up.. yes lol there are like ANZ prepaid debit cards... you can see why im a bit frazzled with all the price differences. Edit: I managed to find a old petbarn Catalogue online from december 2010 as there are no recent ones... and it has the 45L one.. "Aqua One Tropical Starter Kit 45L NOW $89 SAVE $31 Includes: Glass Aquarium with lid, hang on filter, coloured gravel, tropical food, water conditioner, glass heater, and thermometer.Suitable for tropical fish." soo.. 89+31=120.. so the tank is aparently around
  17. yeah that is the one i am talking about but there are different prices all over the place like this one http://www.mypetwarehouse.com.au/store/product/12490/AQUA-ONE-START-KIT-TROPICAL-40/ I'll have a look in petbarn tomorrow ( drag mum there ) and see what their pricing is, how big it is.. it is a case of if i can fit it in my room
  18. Heehee, another tank has caught my eye..... but it takes up space The Aqua one tropical starter kit.. but i cant seem to find a set price online and Mum didn't want to go into petbarn :/ arghhh
  19. Ii do use the cloth type ones otherwise i also hurt myself on the hard plastics :/ im a bit accident prone always have at least one or 2 cuts or bruises Lol. I am planning on getting a halfmoon off Aquabid tis gonna be a pretty one :cheer:
  20. :embarrass: I'm not sure as i haven't had much experience with plants that are live, as when ever i have had fish in the past mum didnt want live plants because whenever she had used them..fish died :/
  21. From what i can tell about setting the tank up, a air tube goes from the filter/airbubbler thingo to a pump, that connects to an adaptor, so if i put a cut halfway down the tube i can put a valve to slow the flow down so they dont get pushed around, but also so that the filter is still effective, and just to weekly 30% water changes edit>> the set up vid i found
  22. ^^ Thats a pic of the baby biOrb. found that vid of a halfmoon in one, I'm limited in space in my room as Mum doesnt want it out in the house as there is "nowhere to put it" one plus with the biOrb that i can see, is the lack of cords, the airpump and the light cord go into one 12v adapter..less cords to get tripped on or caught on things or to tangle up.
  23. Could that be slightly remedied with a valve on the airline? lower the flow but not so much that the filtration doesn't work? just so that there isn't a heap of movement?
