Hi all, next shipment from Thailand to Australia due to leave August 3rd 2010. Aquabid purchases need to be finalised by this coming weekend. Due to this shipment arriving later in the week shipments out post quarantine will have to be arranged quickly. PLEASE ensure you have sufficient funds on hand to cover the import costs and local freight when invoiced. Also note we DO NOT take photos of fish in quarantine. If you have any concerns about the fish you need to discuss this with the seller AFTER you receive your stock. most of the bettas are around 4-5 months when they arrive - so still quite young. They tend to reach full body and fin size around 8 months. Some strains are stockier than others. Good to hear they arrived ok. Make sure to flare the male every day to keep his tail in good form. Cheers, someone

Hey - you are correct - the male has lost form a bit - not flared enough during my trip away. He is from Vinita of NiceBettas - so very good bloodlines. (www.nicebettas.com) and yes - I can be a cranky cow - the stupidity of the world gets to me sometimes! : P

I regularly trim damaged fins. they heal much faster and without infection. As for the pain - it can't be that bad - seeing as how most of the damage is self-inflicted. Recovery is very quick. When I used to breed HM I would trim the heavier finned males. It's hard to cut a perfect tail!

Do not believe any wild sob stories asking for more money. This pair have had more deaths in the family, injury, illnesses, accidents, kidnapping by the mob, fleeing the country over gambling debts, vet bills and car crashes than the entire cast of Neighbours....and it is all just as fictitious.
