no females just yet, still looking the LPS i got them from didnt have them priced so when i asked how much she had to call someone, when she said $6 i snaped them up there was three HM but didnt have the room for all three <_<

hello all, after a bad run, horible neighbours and the need to move, iv finaly got some more betta's and here are two of them.i know their not the best pics im out of practice but will keep trying. i got this HM boy and another for $6 each and i just couldnt walk past this guy

Force Fed water is clear its my camra but probly could do with small water change though was close with the size it just under 5ft the stand is just over *lol*

well it took me a bit longer than id hoped for but got one in Peter no ill effects as of yet, no tannins that i can see if there is its minimal the roots sat in the wether for near six months and the bark was easy to remove after the first soak and here is what ive done with it a few days after the plants and fish went in better shot of the log and finaly what it looks like today its had a small alteration when i got some new plants

i used to have a pair of blue crays when younger and within months was over run with babys good times lol. i want to get something a little more fancy later on and thought these would be good to start with sadly after i had moved it onto a new stand the tank sprung a major leak and i lost half the water onto my bedroom floor its sad cause i was really really happy with how id set it up,the crays are fine and were moved to a tank on the varander they will have to stay there untill i get the tank fixed :)

hi all im after some advice on some easy to find and care for plants for my tank its looking a little empty tank does not need to look overly pretty as it is a grow out tank but it dose need something the tank is located near window and gets morning sun and if a door left open afternoon as well i dont have a good light on this tank but it is one the list as is a lot of things occupants are BN fry from three spawns that range from a month to 1 week olds and two boys a HM and PK ( that got moved when we had some cold wether ) i like the log with the plants in front but think it needs some thing behind it that runs towords the other side any sugestions welcome

hi all i spent a few weeks at my sisters to help babysit while she was in hopital with number 5 and while i was there i cought myself 6 red claws they range in size the smallest is 5-6 cm and the largest is 7-8 cm and now they have settled thought i would share them with you the tank is nothing fancy but i think it works with the plastic plants i had sitting in around

no they had them in a tube stock pot, i didnt know they had spawned untill after i had pulled the tank down was just about to empty the water out of the tank when i found them so the male, plants and pot all went back in. after that the male kept moveing them around the tank he put them back in the pot the night they hatched

ok here are the pics i promised the were all got from the same shop at the same time and out of this spwan 1\3 are white and all are growing nicely

hi all ive had my BN breed yay and as this is a first i have a question for you all how common is it to get albino BN in a spawn of brown parents i got them from a LPS so i have no back ground info on them i have pic for you that i will post when i can

ive just had mine breed in a tubestock pot i thru in the 2ft tank for them to hide in while we moved i got around to setting up the 6ft yesterday, moved all the fish and started to pull down the 2ft tank before i found the eggs so it all went back how it was and the BN are the only fish in the tank now at least you noticed a different behavier in your fish Lyarlla mine just hang on the log near the pot

yer that was info i was able to find and i was planing to set up a tank for that down stairs when i got my fishroom setup but it will now have to wait till after we have moved its in a tank with mollies, rossie barbs, and a few others but they are the ones its chasing

okay about a month ago my mother got a pair of tiger scats (one dint make it a the week) i knew nothing about them and have been trying to find info on them since (now with my history with trying to find anything with google i dont know why i bother) i did manage to find some real basic stuff but thats not why im posting i have some Questions and i hope someone here will be able to help 1. in the last week it has started to get very teritorial it will pick one fish out of a group and chase it around the tank 2. it has started to change colors it can be the bright yellow, orange with black stripes one seconed dark gray almost black the next then back again and my question is Why also it has two red lumps / spots on its top lip, they dont look like sores but im not 100% sure if you have any experince / info that can help or know where i could find this info many thanks

another posibility is that it may be to big i was having an error problem when i wanted to change mine today above the pic you want, go into Edit then resize and in the new size box type in 130 in the first box then save a copy i didnt use the IMG Code i used the Direct Link but both should work i think HTH Az

thanks for that Lilli so this might be a stupid Q. but is there any differance between non-red and blond because when i picked her i thought yellow cambodian (non-red ) but as the shop owner got her out she said "the blond girl" ? thanks Tracey. hope you convince them. i have to travel over an hour to get to a half good shop for fish now as the only pet shop in town has closed (i found out that they sold 2ft-5ft tanks for $10-$20 the day after it shut shop just my luck) and i would love to call in to someone's for fish but she is not open monday's when we go down to brisbane for doctors

ok i finaly got around to getting some pics of two of my new fish not the best shots but the best of what i got male female can someone tell me what there colours are ? ( it one part of my fish keeping that still needs work )

Bender if you ever go to Bowen sure they are everywhere not sure down this way if i find somewhere close i will let you know Callatya the mud flats where i got these was rezoned for building or something it has been a few years since i lived there so i dont remember what exactly but i know it is a tiny little creek that gets hardly any water go through it and the mangroves only get submerged if it floods Peter not as yet im still soaking them atm as the first few i did went all soft and brittle it took me a while to realise it was only the bark falling off will try to get some in a tank in the few weeks

thanks for the advice Callatya my first thought was to soak for a week , dry and repeat . that should get rid of most of the salt yes ? i have two soking in an esky so it may take me a while i found these up the coast a few years ago while camping but never went back untill last week, its funny to think you can pay so much for these and we used them as fire wood i got 13 peices this trip and i hope to get a few more when i go back up that way in october

dose any one know how long it will take for magrove roots to dry out to be safe to use in my fish tanks these are fresh from the mud flats (just so im clear these are the dead stumps not living tree roots) and is there anything else that i will need to do to them ? i would show you a pic but photobucket is not working for me i have tried 4 times to upload it but i will try again latter Aaron finally nineth try but here it is
