About Us

At AusAqua we discuss anything and everything to do with fish keeping in Australia! Here you will find information on Australian events and show dates, various club announcements, a breeder registry, a classified section and loads more!!

We are also the home of Australia's most active betta breeding community, with importers, breeders, hobbyists and judges all regularly taking part in discussions on these beautiful fish. Come bend the ear of a breeder, grab a bargain, or just admire our member's photographs in the showroom!

Several of our members also have a special interest in breeding and developing particular species, including the beautiful - and under-appreciated - killifish, and guppies. Not your average guppies, mind you - we're talking absolute stunners!

AusAqua is run by 4 members who are avid fish keepers themselves. They make no profit what-so-ever from this website, apart from the benefit we all obtain from continuing to learn and grow as fishkeepers from the quality discussions that occur here. Our aim is simply to be a free, uniquely Australian resource for all fish keepers. We have a free classifieds forum in which people are allowed to advertise (subject to certain protocols if you are a commercial enterprise, as to which please see the Rules). All we ask for in return is that you be a participating member.
